Unfit
For Command
I am still amazed that John Kerry really thought that he would get away
with this. That he really thought that he could count on Al Frackenstein
and Michael Mooron and the rest to carry him and that the real Swift
Boat heroes would not fight back on his lies.
Guess again Kerry.
And Kerry's comments on Meet The Press today show that Kerry is stay way
out in left field along with that other Massachusetts senator Teddy
"Hiccup" Kennedy. Once again Kerry is on the wrong side and proves that
he was the wrong man for the wrong job at the wrong time. Kennedy??? I
understand that even the democrats have had it with these two.
Unfit For Command is still in the top 25 of best selling books and for
good reason; Americans want to know the truth about Swiftboat Kerry. The
facts that CNN and the mainstream media refuses to report.
If only 1/10 of this were false Kerry would sue faster than he shot
defenseless 12 year old Vietnamese kids and their fathers in Vietnam
many years ago. This guy is a heel, not a hero. And this book proves it.
I find it interesting that so many people are blaming the Swift Boat
Vets for costing John Kerry the 2004 Presidential Election. Didn't John
Kerry said that he would run on his record? And didn't it occur to the
senator that somebody might check his record out?
Apparently John Kerry, like another former democrat presidential
contender Gary Hart who said he had no skeletons in his closet didn't
expect anyone to check. Surprise!
The only reason that Kerry made Vietnam the issue is because he has
nothing else to run on. Didn't Kerry quote scriptures during one of his
debate with the president and say something about "Faith without works
is death." I submit that Kerry should have started working 20 years ago
when he first entered the senate instead of trying to run on the liberal
media hype machine.
Kerry also should have started working on character and integrity back
around 34 years ago instead of indescriminately shooting at anything
that moves just because he happens to be in a "fire zone." And Kerry
should have paid more attention to where he was during Christmas '68 and
not get confused as to who the President of the United States really
was.
It was Kerry who shot himself down. The Swift Boat Vets merely provided
the facts, just like the reporters reported the facts about Gary Hart
and Donna Rice, Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky and so on.
Even if you voted for Kerry and especially if you are a die hard
democrat who truly cares about your party, you owe it to yourself to
read the facts about John F. Kerry. All Americans who truly love their
country need to read Unfit For Command to see what this guy John F.
Kerry is really all about.
And please, don't ever compare this JFK to John F. Kennedy. Kerry can't
even come close to Kennedy on character and integrity. And Kennedy was
genuinely injured during his military days.
The
Last Valley
A highly acclaimed, well-written, and flawlessly researched history of
the battle that doomed the French Empire and led America into Vietnam.
In December 1953 the French army occupying Vietnam challenged the
elusive Vietnamese army to engage in a decisive battle. When French
paratroopers landed in the jungle on the border between Vietnam and
Laos, the Vietnamese quickly isolated the French force and confronted
them at their jungle base in a small place called Dien Bien Phu. The
hunters-the French army-had become the hunted, desperately defending
their out-gunned base. The siege in the jungle wore on as defeat loomed
for the French. Eventually the French were depleted, demoralized, and
destroyed. As they withdrew, the country was ominously divided at U.S.
insistence, creating the short-lived Republic of South Vietnam for which
55,000 Americans would die in the next twenty years.
We
Were Soldiers Once and Young
I commanded A Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Cav under LTC Hal Moore at
X-Ray. I lived the battle and led two aasaults. Hal Moore's book is an
accurate account of the events of those two days and reflects his love
for his soldiers as well as his determination to close with the enemy.
As another reviewer described the book shortly after it was published it
is "the best description of small unit combat since the Red badge of
Courage". Having just read 71 reviews I note that some of the reviewers
criticize Moore on issues of tactical considerations. Without going into
a lot of detail the Hueys did well to carry 6 soldiers at the altitude
of the central highlands of Vietnam. We did not have good intelligence
as to where the enemy was so the operation was planned as a
reconnaissance in force. Not much different than hundreds of other air
assaults by both Army and Marine units during the war. The book was not
written to glorify war but to demonstrate the courage and character of
the American soldier.
